USI Releases – PRISM-800 – New Large Format Coating System Platform

Haverhill, Massachusetts, November 16, 2016 – Ultrasonic Systems, Inc. (USI), a leading manufacturer of high-performance ultrasonic spray coating equipment for the semiconductor, fuel cell, solar, electronics assembly, and medical applications announces the release of the PRISM-800 coating system to its product line.

The Prism 800 leverages USI’s proprietary, nozzle-less ultrasonic spray head technology for the thin, uniform application of a variety of coatings such as photo resists, EMI shield coatings, fuel cell catalysts and other specialty coatings used in the semiconductor packaging, fuel cell, display, and medical markets.

Designed to meet high throughput production requirements, the Prism 800 features a high-speed, fully programmable X-Y-Z gantry and a large usable spray area of up to 780 mm x 780 mm.  Numerous options are available to increase production capacity including: tandem coating heads, two independent liquid delivery systems, dual substrate lift stations, robot load lift/shuttle station, etc.

Ultrasonic Systems Launches PRISM-500 Platform with New Conformal Coating Options

Haverhill, Massachusetts, April 7, 2015 – Ultrasonic Systems, Inc. (USI), a leading manufacturer of high-performance ultrasonic spray coating equipment for electronics assembly, medical, fuel cell, semiconductor and solar applications announces the release of the PRISM-500 product line configured with new options for the application of conformal coatings to printed circuit boards. A teach camera and an offline programming tool have been developed to increase the ease of creating coating recipes. The teach camera option is fully integrated with the Prism graphical user interface for seamless programming and process verification.

USI’s unique and proprietary nozzle-less ultrasonic spray technology is ideal for the thin and uniform application of a variety of conformal coatings. In addition to ultrasonic spray head technology, USI offers a variety of coating applicators including Micro-Line Digital Dispensing Valve, Dual-Mode Spray Valve and Dispensing Valve.

USI Launches New Lab Scale Coating System

Haverhill, Massachusetts, September 5, 2012 – Ultrasonic Systems, Inc. (USI), the leading manufacturer of high-performance ultrasonic spray coating equipment, announces the introduction of the Prism BT Benchtop system to its line of precision spray coating products.

The Prism BT Benchtop leverages USI’s proprietary, nozzle-less ultrasonic spray head technology for the thin, uniform application of a variety of coatings, inks and suspensions used in the fuel cell, display, medical device, printed circuit board electronics assembly and semiconductor manufacturing processes.

Designed for lab scale and research and development coating requirements, the Prism BT Benchtop system features a programmable X-Y-Z gantry and usable spray area of up to 400mm x 400mm.  Liquid delivery system options include USI’s Precision Metering Pump with servo motor liquid flow control and integrated liquid stirring, a research grade syringe pump and pressurized reservoirs of various sizes.  Other system options include a substrate heater with vacuum hold and 90 degree pneumatic spray head rotation.

The MAX-800 leverages USI’s proprietary, nozzle-less ultrasonic spray head technology for the thin, uniform application of a variety of coatings used in display manufacturing, fuel cell manufacturing, battery manufacturing, solar cell manufacturing and medical device manufacturing processes.

The MAX-800 features a high speed, fully programmable X-Y-Z gantry and large, usable spray area of up to 780mm x 780mm.  New options for the system include application-specific sized heated substrate fixture with vacuum hold, a heavy-duty conveyor for large substrates and pallets, an automated reel to reel system for coating foil substrates and a walking beam conveyor for transporting tablet computer sized glass plates.  The optional active HEPA filtration system and vacuum purged actuators ensure class 100 clean room compatible conditions in the spray area.  USI’s Precision Metering Pump liquid delivery system with servo motor control and automatic pump re-fill, delivers precise, repeatable liquid flow to the spray head.
