USI’s Ultra-Cure UV Curing Module offers reliable, fast and safe topside curing of UV curable conformal coatings, and other UV curable materials.  The UV curing system utilizes a modular design to deliver consistent curing of various width substrates up to 18” (457 mm) wide. 

The Ultra-Cure system is outfitted with Fusion UV Systems, Inc.  Model F300 SQ lamps.  These microwave lamps operate without metal electrodes required in arc lamps and provide the most reliable, stable and efficient UV curing method.  Several different spectral outputs are available to optimize the UV wavelength for the coating material used.  The UV lamps can be rapidly started and restarted for intermittent curing applications without the need for shutter mechanisms.  The system is designed to accommodate up to 3 lamps, 6” (152 mm) wide to provide a total curing width of up to 18” (457 mm).  The UV light shield allows the height of the lamps to be adjusted and the curing chamber to be ventilated.

The Ultra-Cure UV Curing Module uses a PLC based control system with an operator interface terminal (OIT) for setup and alerting.  The conveyor system utilizes stainless steel pin chain with hand crank width adjust and is fully SMEMA compatible.  The UV curing system can be easily integrated with any conveyorized USI Prism coating system or other SMEMA compatible equipment.
